JICEF promotes cultural exchange and understanding of different races and
nations. Our objective is to achieve peace around the world by sending
people abroad and inviting people to Japan. JICEF especially focuses on the fields of learning, culture and education.
Thus, JICEF subsidizes the exchange of researchers, educators, and artists
between Japan and foreign countries. In 2005, the number of educators sent to
foreign countries was 102 and the number of guests invited was 73. |

We hold cultural lectures and symposia several times a year that contribute to the exchange of cultural activities
with various foreign countries, as well as improving mutual understanding
and friendship. |

We have held world congress four times to date, covering themes such as
health, culture and environment.

This contest was held for the first time in 1980. Since then, it has been
hosted every two to four years. We held the 12th music contest in January 13th 2008. We believe that this contest will make increase Japanese peoples' interest and understanding for foreign students. We also hope this contest will promote
international cultural exchange. |

We hold lectures to enhance cultural mutual understanding everywhere in
Japan.

We visit the UK with group members of HRM (Humanity revival Movement) as
a joint venture to initiate cultural exchange events, such as home parties
or high school workshops..

We publish IMJ (International Medical Journal), annual reports, books etc.. |
